Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: [1/1/2025]

Welcome to SMA Immigration Law Firm (“Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and any related agreements. By engaging with our services, you agree to these terms.

1. No Services to Sanctioned Countries

SMA Immigration Law Firm does not offer services to individuals or entities located in countries that are subject to U.S. government sanctions or embargoes. We comply with all U.S. laws and regulations, including those administered by the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

If you are a resident or national of a sanctioned country, we are unable to provide legal services to you.

2. Private Organization – No Government Affiliation

SMA Immigration Law Firm is a privately owned law firm and is not affiliated with the U.S. government or any governmental agency. While we provide legal assistance with immigration applications, many of these services can be applied for directly with the U.S. government at no cost or at a lower cost.

For example, individuals may apply for immigration benefits directly through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by visiting www.uscis.gov.

Our firm offers legal representation, case strategy, and professional assistance to improve your chances of a successful application, but we do not guarantee approvals or outcomes.

3. Documentation We Retain

As part of our legal services, we may collect and retain specific documentation from clients, including but not limited to:

  • Signed legal representation agreements (contracts)
  • Client intake forms
  • Credit card authorization forms (for payment processing)
  • Case-related documentation (copies of passports, immigration filings, supporting evidence, affidavits)

We maintain strict confidentiality and data security measures to protect our clients’ information in accordance with professional legal standards and U.S. privacy laws.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

4.1 Refunds

  • Legal fees paid to SMA Immigration Law Firm are generally non-refundable, as they cover the time, expertise, and services already rendered.
  • If a client requests a refund before any substantial work has begun, a partial refund may be issued at the firm’s sole discretion, minus any administrative fees.
  • Government filing fees paid to USCIS or other agencies are non-refundable and are subject to their respective policies.

4.2 Cancellations

  • Clients may cancel legal representation at any time by providing written notice to the Firm. However, fees for services already provided will not be refunded.

4.3 Client Acknowledgment of Refund Policy

Before engaging our services, all clients must sign a written agreement acknowledging our refund and cancellation policy. This ensures transparency and mutual understanding.

5. Decision-Making Authority & Legal Disclaimer

  • SMA Immigration Law Firm provides legal representation and guidance, but decisions on immigration applications are made solely by the U.S. government (e.g., USCIS, Department of State, U.S. embassies, or consulates).
  • We do not guarantee approvals or specific outcomes, as each case is evaluated independently by government authorities.

6. Modifications to Terms and Conditions

SMA Immigration Law Firm reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Clients will be notified of significant changes when applicable.
